What you will need
For the three-year course to become a Social Education Assistant (SPA) you need to have a First General School Leaving Qualification (ESA).
You must also provide further documentation, including an Expanded Police Clearing Certificate and proof of measles immunity.
Advisement according to § 43 Infection Protection Law will be provided in the course of the training programme.
You can also acquire the Intermediate School Leaving Certificate (MSA) in this course.

What does PiA mean?
Practice-Integrated Education (PiA) was introduced as an alternative to classic school education with increased emphasis on practical application during the course. In Schleswig-Holstein, practice-integrated education courses are conducted in a trade school and in a children’s daycare centre with which a training contract is concluded.

For the practice-integrated education course you need to have an Intermediate School Leaving Certificate (MSA).

Financing
You will be paid a fixed income during the practice-integrated course.
